just a little place to stamp & share!
Going back to my blogger blog. Not enough storage space and I like blogger better than wordpress.

Paper & Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango
This is my new favorite stamp set, Vintage Vogue from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. There is a matching jumbo wheel that I haven’t played with yet. The wheel is even better in person than it is in the catalog because there is a butterfly in the pattern that is not pictured in the catalog.
Paper: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery
I love pink! Pink just makes me smile! Regal Rose is probably my favorite shade of pink, not too pink like Pixie Pink, or too bright like Pink Passion or too light Pretty in Pink. The new In-Color Melon Mambo is nice but just a little too intense. In the words of Goldilocks Regal Rose is just right!
I received my new stuff yesterday. I love the new heart embosslit! It adds just the right touch-a heart with a little texture. The edging is made with the new Scallop Trim Border punch in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I need to work on the size paper to use with it so my scallops are complete and not cut in half. The card base is Kraft.
After I had this card assembled I realized it needed ribbon but SU doesn’t make Regal Rose ribbon and white was just too well plain. So I pulled out a Regal Rose marker and drew a line down each side of a piece of white taffeta ribbon. My original plan was just to make a thin line down the edge of the ribbon but SU markers are really juicy so the color spread more than I thought it would but I still like it! Ribbon dyed to match!!

I finally opened my Daisy #2 die for the Big Shot. I actually forgot I bought it until one of my customers asked me about it. Yeah, well I have been making everything Christmas and not thinking about flowers.
I saw this paper flower made on another blog (as usual I can’t remember whose) and it was placed on top of a box. You could decorate a gift bag, a jar, or use this flower instead of a bow on a package.
Each layer is 2 daises slightly offset. The petals were curled using a bone folder. I just purchased all the corduroy buttons in the bundle sale and I am so glad I did. I just love them! I cheated a little with the color. The paper is the new in color Crushed Curry and the button is Summer Sun but I think they match close enough. The card base is of course the beautiful Rich Razzleberry. No sentiment because I am not sure who to give this to or if I will just keep it. . .
I sprayed the flower with a good coat of shimmer mist. Shimmer mist is made by adding the new and still available shimmer paint to 70% rubbing alcohol. I used an old perfume bottle and added about 2 ounces of rubbing alcohol and a couple of paintbrushes full of shimmer paint. Shake it well and spray away.Sorry no exact measurements I just added paint until it looked right.
One thing I did discover the hard way (at stamp club in front of everyone!) it discolors Bashful Blue on the backside of the paper. I am not sure why and it has not discolored any other color of paper.
Must get upstairs, hands are frozen to the keyboard!

We are in a frozen tundra here in Kansas City. There are glaciers in the street. And it could snow AGAIN tonight and tomorrow. The high today is 14! Next Saturday we are having a heat wave of 29.! Ugh!
From now until the temperature rises above freezing I am making only warm weather cards & projects. Lots of flowers, green leaves, and warm colors!
This is a CASE of a card I saw some time ago. I used the large oval punch for the vases and the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers. Each of the vases were sponged with the corresponding color. The sentiment is a retired SU .
Ink: Apricot Appeal, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst

I thought I would take a break from making Fall and Christmas cards and make one with my favorite color! The card base was cut with the Sizzix Curly Label Movers & Shapers die and the inside is the Top Note die. I used Pixie Pink textured card stock and Pixie Pink ink. The bunny is from the cute little set called Forest Friends. The sentiment is from an old retired set. The ribbon is from one of the retired Ribbon Originals and is actually the first time I have used it. I think now I really need some more of those other windows that fit in the Movers & Shapers die.
